Investment Capital

When a company graduates from an accelerator or reaches the next stage of development, it needs to raise additional funds to keep growing.

The HI Growth Initiative was instrumental in the establishment of 6 of out of the 7 active Hawaii-based venture funds.  The six funds have attracted over $30 million of private investment capital co-invested alongside HSDC and are managed by private sector fund managers. These funds cover the spectrum of funding needed by startups: accelerators, post-accelerator or “seed” funding, Series A, and a commercialization fund designed to help turn University of Hawaii-related technologies into viable businesses.

We’ve also assembled a list of Hawaii’s most active investment funds on our Resources page.
